TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—With winter storm and travel advisories in place through Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, as snow continues to fall, businesses around the county are announcing closures.

Tompkins Cortland Community College, Ithaca City School District, Trumansburg Central School District, Dryden Central School District, Newfield Central School District, Groton Central School District, Lansing Central School District, New Roots Charter School have all announced closures for Friday, Dec. 16.

Tompkins Community Area Transit (TCAT) is monitoring winter weather and road conditions and has adjusted to snow detour routes which can be found here.

The Tompkins County Public Library, Finger Lakes Independence Center, Child Development Council, Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) and all Dryden Town Hall offices are all closed on Dec. 16.

Tompkins County Lifelong, Loaves & Fishes, the Mental Health Association in Tompkins County, Opportunities, Alternatives, and Resources of Tompkins County (OAR) are closed on Dec. 16.

Foodnet Meals on Wheels is closed and clients are asked to use Blizzard Bags if needed.

11 a.m. update:

  • The Lansing Community Library is closed today.
  • The Cancer Resource Center is closed today.
  • Tompkins Community Action is closed today.
