ITHACA, N.Y.—At approximately 5:36 p.m. on Dec. 5, officers from the Ithaca Police Department responded to the Ithaca Mini Mart at 124 S. Cayuga Street for a report stating that a man with a handgun had robbed the store.
Upon arrival, officers received a description and located a man in the area who matched the description before taking him into custody without incident.
After searching the suspect, a black revolver BB gun was located on his person.
The defendant was identified as 40-year-old Sheng Ke of Ithaca, and Ke was arrested and charged with robbery in the second degree.
Ke was arraigned in Ithaca City Court by Judge Seth Peacock before being remanded to the Tompkins County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond.
