TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—Tompkins County Legislator Mike Sigler, of Lansing, has been re-elected to lead the Tompkins County Republican party as chairman, according to a press release this week.
In addition to Sigler’s reelection, he chose Erin Worsell as Vice Chair. Julie Oliver was elected to serve as treasurer and Diane Orlowski was elected as secretary.
“We have a great team leading the county, but we’re only as good as our town chairs,” Sigler said. “I thank our entire committee for their vote. If you want to be a part of finding candidates, running for office and getting those candidates elected, call me.”
Sigler said the Tompkins County Republicans would be focusing on the upcoming election, arguing that new direction is necessary for New York State and the country, specifically stating that it “shouldn’t be this hard to live in New York.”
The group officially endorsed Republicans Lee Zeldin for governor, Alison Esposito for lieutenant governor, Marc Molinaro for the U.S. House of Representatives, Michael Henry for New York Attorney General, Paul Rodriguez for State Comptroller and Rich David for New York State Senate. There’s an opportunity to meet these candidates on Oct. 20 at 6:15 p.m. at Hopshire in Dryden.
“We are focused on the upcoming election,” Sigler said. “Early voting is just weeks away. We will do everything we can to get this slate of candidates elected. If you’re unhappy with the direction of the state, this is the only way to change that direction. We can fix this.”
