TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—Businesses are preparing for the upcoming long Labor Day weekend by announcing closures and reductions of hours. Below is a list of the shortened business hours.

Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) is reducing its hours and deferring to its Sunday schedule for both Sept. 4 and 5. Bus schedules can be found here.

TCAT administrative offices and customer service call center will also be closed for the holiday.

The Finger Lakes Independence Center, Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, Lifelong, Guthrie walk-in medical services will be closed for the holiday.

All City of Ithaca offices will be closed in observance of the holiday, and trash collection will not occur on Monday, Sept. 5, and collections will resume one day later than they normally do. (More information on that here.)

The Child Development Council, Tompkins Learning Partners office and the Mental Health Association in Tompkins County will also be closed.

The Human Services Coalition office will be closed Sept. 5, but general resources will still be available via 2-1-1 or 1(800)211-8667 and all other services will become available beginning Sept. 6.
