ITHACA, N.Y.—An update was posted to Instagram regardin Pizza Aroma’s relocation, which was initially announced in March.

The relocation was due to issues with the building that weren’t properly taken care of or clearly communicated by the building owner. (More on that can be read here.)

The latest post, which went up in the morning on Aug. 8, thanks the Ithaca community for its support over the past few months as the restaurant has navigated where to take the business. It does not identify the new location.

“We will be closing down at 128 S. Cayuga St on August 20th. Luckily, we do have our next location finalized. Stay tuned for more details on that. As of right now, we hope to pen at our new location around early-mid October,” the post says.

The GoFundMe that was started in March is still active (and referenced in the latest update), and has thus far raised $27,932 out of its $50,000 goal.

“We can’t thank you enough for the outpouring of love and support you have given us. In the meantime, as our temporary closing approaches, stop by for a last visit on our beloved corner, say hello and get yourself a hot pizza,” the update reads.
