TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) has endorsed Lea Webb for State Senate in District 52.

“CSEA is pleased to announce its endorsement of Lea Webb, a fellow union member and longtime labor advocate, because we know she is willing to fight for our members’ best interests,” said CSEA Central Region President Kenny Greenleaf.

“As a proud union member I am honored to receive CSEA’s support,” Webb said. “New York is a union state and I want to keep it that way by prioritizing legislation that seeks to create fair wages, benefits and security for working families who keep our state running.”

Also endorsing Webb is the Cortland County Democratic Committee, Tompkins County Legislator Travis Brooks, former Ithaca City Councilperson JR Clairborne, Lansing Town Boardmember Ruth Goff, Mayor of the Village of Cayuga Heights Linda Woodard, former Tompkins County Chair and Legislator Tim Joseph and Nate Shinagawa, respectively.

Dr. Nia Nunn, Southside Community Center board president and professor at Ithaca College, Ed Swayze, chair of the City of Ithaca Democratic Committee and Stacey Dimas, vice chair of the Tompkins County Democratic Committee have also endorsed Webb.
