LANSING, N.Y.—Deputies from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to Farrell Road in Lansing at approximately 11:18 p.m. on May 29 for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male subject with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The caller had reported that she was inside a residence when she heard multiple shots, then went outside and found the victim injured, according to a police press release.

A neighbor reported that they heard three or four shots and yelling, and another individual reported seeing two males with flashlights yelling for someone in the driveway prior to the shots being fired, police said.

The victim was transported to Upstate Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The only description provided of the suspect is that of a Black male, and the suspect was gone prior to the arrival of responding deputies.
