ITHACA, N.Y.—At approximately 6:35 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022, officers from the Ithaca Police Department and Tompkins County Sheriff’s Special Response Team arrested Whitley Taylor of 150 West Village Place following an investigation into reported shots fired from Feb. 27, 2022.

The original incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. Feb. 27 near the West Village Apartments and responding officers did locate evidence consistent with a round of shots being fired. No injuries or property damage were discovered.

Taylor was arrested and responding officers executed a search warrant of the residence. Tylor was arraigned on charges of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment in the second degree.

Taylor was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail and is being held without bail.
