ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca Police are investigating a stabbing that took place early Saturday morning in Ithaca.

A local business, according to a police press release, reported that someone had entered with a stab wound around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim was “initially uncooperative” before stating that he had been stabbed by a Black male on West Village Place.

Lieutenant Barry Banfield, who prepared the police narrative, then said the victim was transported to a regional trauma center, but refused to cooperate further. No further suspect description was provided, and no further information was provided regarding the victim’s condition.

Police are investigating, and ask anyone with further information to contact them.
