8 A.M. UPDATE: The winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service and travel advisory issued by the Tompkins County Sheriff will both remain in effect throughout the day. Another three or four inches are expected to accumulate this morning, and road will be icy and snow-covered making travel difficult.
The Cornell campus will remain closed until noon. Classes scheduled to start before noon, including those held online, are canceled.
6:45 A.M. UPDATE: The City of Ithaca City Hall, Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) and the Ithaca Youth Bureau will all be closed today.

ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca, Dryden and Trumansburg school districts have announced they will be closed Friday, Feb. 4. Lansing Central School District is continuing with its planned virtual-instruction half day.
Ithaca College is remaining remote for all classes on Friday, but essential personnel should arrive on campus as usual. Essential services will be provided but may have limited hours.
All Tompkins Cortland Community College facilities will be closed and some remote classes may be held and scheduled in-person meetings may be held remotely. Food services will be operational from noon to 3 p.m.
TST BOCES and PTECH programs are canceled and the campus will open at 10 a.m. Cornell University plans to reopen by 10 a.m. Friday, so any classes that scheduled for 10 a.m. or later will proceed as planned, and remote classes are still being held through Feb. 7.
Tompkins Trust Company locations will all open at 10 a.m. on Friday, and the YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County will open at 2 p.m.
The CSMA is closed today and its gallery night has been rescheduled for Feb. 11.
TCPL, the Southworth Library and Meals on Wheels will remain closed on Friday as well as Freeville Village offices.
ABC Oriental Rug is closed today.
