ITHACA, N.Y.—At approximately 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, the Ithaca Police Department responded to a call at 214 N. Meadow Street, Fastrac, for a reported stabbing, according to a police department press release. Police are now looking for the suspect.

Responding officers located a male victim with two stab wounds to his upper torso. The victim received medical treatment on the scene and was transported by Bangs Ambulance to a trauma center. There was no further information provided on the status of the victim.

After speaking with witnesses in the area, officers determined that the original incident had occurred near West State Street and Meadow Street.

It is believed that the suspect and victim know each other and that this was not a random act of violence, but it is an ongoing investigation.
