From GIAC Director Leslyn McBean-Clairborne:

ITHACA, N.Y.—The Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) is a committed community partner in the fight against COVID-19. As a department of the City of Ithaca, we are pleased to collaborate with the Tompkins County Health Department in its efforts to keep area residents safe and to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. As part of these efforts GIAC will be a distribution site for COVID home test kits and KN95 masks for City of Ithaca residents. Distribution will take place from 10am to 2pm — or while supplies last – this Saturday, January 8, at GIAC, 301 West Court Street.

Free testing is still available at the mall testing site (the former Sears), therefore the test kits will be prioritized for people who may not be able to get to that site or who cannot afford at-home tests. These tests also can be found for sale in other locations such as pharmacies or other retailers.

Registration is required to obtain masks or test kits. Each household will be limited to two tests. Please register through this link.

Those without Internet access may call 607-272-3622 to register. A limited number of kits and masks also will be available for walk-up registration for those who may not have access to register electronically. Thank you.
