ITHACA, N.Y.—Construction on a new fire hydrant will take place this week, starting Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The work will reduce Hudson Place to one lane at parts, and will also include potential interruptions in water service along one side of the street.

According to an announcement from the city: “Traffic will be reduced to 1 lane around the project zone with the possibility of a detour periodically throughout the project. Odd number residences from 3 — 15 Hudson Pl will experience temporary water interruptions, particularly from 8 — 12 on Wednesday the 26. Local traffic delays should be expected.”

Work should begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, and end around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
