ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca City School District announced several weeks ago that it would be providing free summer meals five days a week at several locations around the district’s reach. That program starts this week, with 12 locations opening Monday and serving either hot and cold meals each week day for the next several weeks—some locations will remain active until September, others will stop in August.

The meals are free for all students who are 18 and younger.

Northside Community Center – 625 Hancock Street

  • Hot Meals— July 6 – September 2
  • Breakfast— 8 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch— 11 – 1:30 p.m.

Caroline Elementary, bus loop – 2439 Slaterville Road

  • Cold Meals— July 6 – September 2
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Ithaca High School, Welcome Center – 1401 North Cayuga Street

  • Cold meals—July 6 – September 2
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Fall Creek Elementary, Kitchen Window – 202 King Street

  • Hot Meals—July 6 – August 13
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Stewart Park, Large Pavilion (unclear if this is open while the Stewart Park clean-up effort takes place)—1 James L. Gibbs Drive

  • Cold Meals—July 6 – August 20
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Town of Ulsses Barn—3888 Colegrove Road

  • Cold meals—July 6 – August 13
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Enfield Day Camp—162 Enfield Main Road

  • Hot meals—July 6 – August 13
  • Breakfast from 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

DeWitt Middle School, bus loop—560 Warren Road

  • Cold meals—July 6 – September 2
  • Breakfast and lunch— 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Lehman ACS, Kitchen window—111 Chestnut Street

  • Cold meals—July 6 – September 2
  • Breakfast and lunch— 9:00-11:30 a.m.

Belle Sherman Elementary, kitchen window—501 Mitchell Street

  • Hot meals—July 6 – August 13
  • Breakfast and lunch—9:00-11:00 a.m.

Cass Park Rink—701 Taughannock Boulevard

  • Hot meals—July 6 – August 20
