ITHACA, N.Y. –– The demolition, and subsequent development of the former Mimi’s Attic/Mother Goose space at 430-444 West State/MLK Street is expected to cause delays for drivers as the northbound travel lane and east side sidewalk of the Corn Street crossroad will be closed to make room for construction crews.

The project, which is slated to begin immediately, has a tentative finishing date of July 2022.

The closure of the northbound travel lane and east side sidewalk will affect only the 100 block of Corn Street, and parking on the east side of the street will also be unavailable. On the 400 block of West State/MLK Street, the north side sidewalk is open and diverted into the parking area.

Detour signs will direct northbound traffic to North Plain St to West Seneca Street to N. Corn Street. Southbound, detour sign will direct traffic to N. Plain Street. Signs will also be there to direct pedestrians.
