TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. –– The Tompkins County Board of Elections has issued ‘MAILCHECK’ cards to registered voters, informing them of important election dates and times in 2021 and where their polling place is. That makes now a perfect time to either register for the first time in Tompkins, or if you haven’t received your card but know you’re registered, to contact the BOE and update your information.

May 28 is the last day to register/update in person at the BOE or by mail for the 2021 Primary Election. Completed forms with your information must be postmarked no later than May 28 and received at the Board of Elections no later than June 2nd. Forms for registration by mail may be obtained at the following offices: Board of Elections, Town Clerks, Village Clerks, Schools, Post Offices, Department of Motor Vehicles and other State Agencies providing services to the public. Forms may also be printed from the Board’s website, www.votetompkins.com.

Additionally, for those that have had a card delivered at your address for someone who no longer lives there, mark the card “Not at This Address” and put it back in the mail.

With questions about MAILCHECK cards, voting or local elections, call the Board of Elections at (607) 274-5522 or visit votetompkins.com.
