One customer has been told to not expect power back until 10:45 p.m. The company’s site lists 115 customers still without service as of 8:53 p.m.

ITHACA, N.Y.—Parts of Downtown Ithaca are experiencing a power outage that is expected to last at least until 2 p.m., according to alerts from Spectrum and NYSEG.
The outage has been ongoing since mid-morning. According to workers in downtown Ithaca, it appears to be impacting businesses and residences from around the City Centre building on State Street to near the Green Street Garage. Spectrum has been issuing alerts and work notices, pushing service restoration times back from 12:30 p.m. initially, then to 2 p.m.
The latest message from Spectrum states that the outage “is taking longer than expected” to correct. That message, sent at 12:13 p.m., did not specify a return to service time. NYSEG’s outage alert list shows five counties being affected, though the vast majority of impacted customers are in Tompkins County. Of the 387 customers who are currently without power, NYSEG states that 342 of them are in Tompkins County. NYSEG also did not specify an expected restoration of service time.
