ITHACA, N.Y. –– Installation of a fire hydrant Tuesday on the 100 block of Cascadilla Park Road will reduce traffic down to one lane until the project is completed.
The installation, which is taking place at 105 Cascadilla Park Road, is expected to be completed by around 3 p.m. the same day, Tuesday.
According to a press release from the City of Ithaca, the new hydrant will create “a main flush point” to ensure water quality and proper pressure in city hydrants. Water main flushing involves releasing water from hydrants in order to test health and safety.
Motorists traveling near or on Cascadilla Park Road should plan their trips accordingly.
