ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca Police have released video of the shooting incident that is reportedly linked to a subsequent car accident in Ithaca on Tuesday morning.

The video, albeit quite grainy and from a distance, seems to show someone exiting a vehicle, running back a few blocks, then quickly turning around and sprinting back to the vehicle. Latter portions of the video appear to show the vehicle used in the shooting departing the area. Police say that the shots were fired using a long gun.

Police have already said that the incident occurred around 8:45 Tuesday morning, Feb. 16, when someone shot at another driver, hitting a house in the process, before the second driver fled. The second vehicle was then involved in an accident when they ran a red light at RT 13 North and Cascadilla Street.

Police are still investigating the incident and asking for the public’s help in the process.
