ITHACA, N.Y. –– The City of Ithaca has now suspended Odd/Even parking enforcement after clearing roads of heavy snow. During Odd/Even residents were asked to park on just one side of the street in order to allow plows to clear snow and slush.

According to a tweet from Mayor Svante Myrick, “you are good to park on both sides, but keep an eye on the weather and alerts from the City in case we need to turn it back on. Thanks to our crews who have worked hard around the clock to clean up from the last storm!”

As is customary, residents will be notified the next time odd/even parking is in effect and all those utilizing street parking are advised to take extra notice during the winter months when the policy is in effect.

Notifications for odd/even parking are sent via the city’s emergency notification system Swift911 –– to receive notifications regarding Odd/ Even parking text “Swift911” to “99538” or go to to sign up and subscribe to the odd/even parking list.
