This year our reporters have covered a global pandemic, massive protests for racial justice and the day-to-day news that matters most to Ithacans, but we’re just getting started.

From day one it’s been our mission to improve civic and political understanding in Ithaca and Tompkins County by publishing and sustaining in-depth, educational, timely, and ethical journalism that all residents can access online free of charge. We strongly believe that local journalism is at the heart of an informed public.

The stakes have never felt higher than they have in 2020—but that only strengthens our commitment to producing high-quality journalism you can count on.

The funding we generate through our year end sustainability campaign is critical to producing journalism that empowers our readers with information and speaks truth to power. In a time when so much feels unpredictable, you can count on us to deliver the reporting you need. Every day. This is critical work— the kind that strengthens our community and bolsters our democracy. But we can’t do any of this without you. With your investment, we can continue this work through 2021 and beyond.

It’s crunch time. Between now and 12/31 we are asking our amazing readers to help us reach our fundraising goal for 2020 of $30,000. We’re just $5,000 away and with your support, we can surge through the finish line with our goal being met!
