ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca Walmart is the latest local establishment impacted by COVID-19, as the Tompkins County Health Department announced that someone worked two shifts last week at the height of the Christmas shopping season during their potentially infectious period.

Potential public exposures took place on Monday, Dec. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The worker who tested positive is in isolation and any close contacts are being notified for quarantine.

Those who were at the Ithaca Walmart at those times should follow the guidance on the public exposure page, which includes instructions to seek testing and information on how to schedule a test.

The full list of public exposures can be found here.
