ITHACA, N.Y.—Construction will close a block of College Avenue for about two days this week as a new water service is installed.

The 100 block will be closed from Mitchell Street to Bool Street starting Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 a.m., until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3. While it will be “completely closed” to through traffic for the duration of the project, local and emergency access will still be possible.

The project’s description, according to the City of Ithaca’s website, is to “install a new 4″ water service.”

There are no interruptions to water service expected, and no detours are being specified.
