ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca Police Department announced that they are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery that happened in the West End on the afternoon of Nov. 2.

The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. in the 900 block of West State Street. According to police, two victims were walking in the area when they were approached by the two suspects, at least one of whom then produced a handgun.

The suspects then demanded the victims hand over their property, according to police. The suspects fled on foot once the victims gave up their personal items and cash, though neither victim was injured. Police said they believe the suspects and victims knew each other, and the crime was not random.

The suspects were described as both Hispanic men, about 20 years of age and about 6 feet tall with a slim build. Police said one had dark medium length braided hair, who was wearing a red jacket, and the other had dark hair and was wearing a white hoodie.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and are asking for help from the public. They can be contacted at:
