ITHACA, N.Y.—One pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being involved in an accident with a dump truck in downtown Ithaca on Monday afternoon.

Ithaca police issued a press release regarding the incident, which resulted in the driver of the dump truck being found at fault and ticketed. The incident took place around 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the intersection of Meadow Street and South Street.

The pedestrian, who was conscious when emergency personnel arrived, was transported to a local hospital for treatment by Bangs Ambulance.

An investigation determined that the dump truck was “turning off of South Street northbound onto South Meadow Street when it struck the pedestrian who was crossing South Meadow Street in the crosswalk,” according to police.
