The Covid-19 pandemic has created a public health crisis and economic emergency in the Southern Tier. Now, more than ever, we need strong and experienced leaders in Albany who will fight for our community. As your elected representatives, we know it’s important to build strong coalitions and effective partnerships to get things done, and right now, that means working together to make quality and affordable healthcare a priority, to increase access to childcare, expand broadband availability, create affordable housing, and protect our environment.
Anna Kelles is the candidate who can best represent Assembly District 125. She is a scientist and a dedicated public servant. She would be the only member of the State Assembly with a background in epidemiology. For the past 5 years, she has served as a county legislator in Tompkins County, authoring and passing legislation to protect human rights, immigrant rights, the environment and public health.
Anna has a proven track record as a legislator and the experience to hit the ground running. She has earned broad support from labor unions as well as local, state, and national leaders. More than ever, we need someone with her experience, passion, and commitment to represent our district. We encourage you to vote for Anna Kelles early or on election day.
Sincerely,
Doug Bentley, Cortland County Legislator, LD1
Beau Harbin, Democratic Minority Leader and Cortland County Legislator, LD2
