Some voters, when faced with selecting among judicial candidates, leave that column blank.  Perhaps they’re unfamiliar with the candidates, and/or unsure what role that particular court plays in our system. We’re asking that we do not make that mistake this November.

Elizabeth Garry is running for reelection to serve the people of New York as a Supreme Court Justice for the Sixth Judicial District. In 2009 Justice Garry was appointed to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, and two years ago as the Presiding Justice – one of only four in New York State – for a region covering 28 counties. With more than two decades of court experience, Justice Garry is widely respected and has a well-deserved reputation for fairness.

The Supreme Court is a trial-level court that hears a broad array of civil and criminal matters, and the 6th District includes the counties of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins. Justice Garry’s outstanding qualities, and the critical importance of protecting our courts, are why we must not leave this column blank.  Please vote to re-elect Justice Garry.
