ITHACA, N.Y. — The Ithaca Police Department responded to reports of gunshots on Tuesday night and found a gunshot victim with non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 6:37 p.m. Tuesday, an IPD patrol supervisor was in the area of W. Clinton Street and S. Meadow Street when he heard gunshots coming from the area of Cleveland Ave.

A 911 call was also placed by a resident in the area who heard the gunshots. Ithaca Police officers responded and located a male victim in his thirties near the road with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital by Bangs Ambulance.
