ITHACA, N.Y. — Traffic delays are expected as North Meadow Street will be narrowed to one lane on Wednesday.
In the Swift911 alert sent Tuesday, the City of Ithaca stated that replacing malfunctioning check valves will take place at the intersection of North Meadow and West Buffalo Streets on July 22.
Drivers should expect traffic delays along North Meadow Street from the intersection of Elmira Road north to the intersection of West Court Street. The right turn lane for traffic westbound on West Buffalo Street turning right (north) onto North Meadow Street will be closed, and no right turns from West Buffalo Street onto North Meadow Street will be possible during the work.
Drivers are recommended to turn right onto either N. Cayuga, N. Albany, or N. Plains streets, go a block north, and turn left on West Court Street and drive up to North Meadow Street, if they planned to turn right onto North Meadow street from West Buffalo.
The construction is planned to be completed by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
