ITHACA, N.Y. –– Ithaca Hummus, the fastest-growing brand of hummus in America which started in 2013 at the Ithaca Farmers Market, announced today that they will donate one dollar for every cup of their hummus sold at the Ithaca Wegmans to the United Way of Tompkins County for the entire month of July.

The Ithaca Wegmans is supporting the campaign with special signage and a display in the store to raise awareness with shoppers.

“I am grateful for the support from the Ithaca community that helped Ithaca Hummus grow into the brand it is today. When the Ithaca Wegmans approached me with an opportunity to partner on this campaign, my only question was; how soon can we make it happen? In the current environment of uncertainty, it’s more important than ever for community leaders and businesses to band together in support of those who need it most,” said Chris Kirby, Founder and President, Ithaca Hummus.

A spokesperson from Wegmans added, “At Wegmans, we are committed to strengthening the communities we call home. During this time, we know there is a greater need for support within the community. By working with The United Way of Tompkins County and Ithaca Hummus, we’re able to help address these needs while accomplishing something special together.”
