TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — House Judiciary Committee Chair and Congressman for New York State’s 10th District, Jerry Nadler, has endorsed Tracy Mitrano’s bid for the New York State’s 23rd Congressional District.

“Tracy Mitrano has deep roots in the 23rd district, and that shows in her vision, drive and commitment to its people,” said Nadler, who represented the west side of Manhattan. “She brings people together to get things done. Whether it’s farmers and environmentalists or medical experts and worried parents, she demonstrates the leadership qualities voters so desperately need right now.”

Mitrano previously ran for this seat in 2018, losing to incumbent and current Republican Congressman Tom Reed.

“For nearly three decades, Congressman Nadler has modeled patriotic service and commitment to the House and to this country,” said Mitrano. “He has also actively supported incoming representatives, as I hope to be in the next session. I am very grateful and honored to have his support!”

Mitrano picked up the support of New York’s Senior Senator Chuck Schumer and New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) earlier this month.

The general elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
