UPDATED: Route 13, Stewart Park reopen after downed power lines

UPDATE: 11:57 A.M. — Route 13 and Stewart Park are once again open after NYSEG complete repairs on downed powerlines.

ITHACA, N.Y. — Route 13 is closed in both directions Thursday morning to allow New York State Electric & Gas can repair downed power lines.

The state-managed road is closed in both directions, according to a Swift911 alert sent by Tompkins County. Stewart Park is also closed.

The county asks that people avoid the area while NYSEG works to fix the wires.
