ITHACA, N.Y. — Tompkins County Health Department announced two more positive cases as well as two more hospitalizations Wednesday. Four more people have recovered and left isolation.
The County received 326 negative tests as well, the second-largest single-day return of negative tests. On March 29, the county received 372 negative tests, but those were accompanied by 14 additional positives. This batch only included two positives.
TCHD also announced that the sampling center, located in the parking lot of The Shops at Ithaca Mall, will be closed due to forecasts of bad weather Thursday and Friday. The threat of high winds making staffing the sampling center, mostly housed under tents, too dangerous.
In response, the center will be open Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sampling center has been closed on weekends since it opened.
