ITHACA, N.Y. — Positive coronavirus tests hit 87, while an additional person was hospitalized between Wednesday and Thursday.
One other person remained hospitalized and 46 people have recovered and been released from isolation, up from 33 on Wednesday.
The county received 136 results on Thursday.
County Administrator Jason Molino told the City of Ithaca Common Council results were taking less time on at its meeting Wednesday night. The first lab TCHD used returned results anywhere from 4 to 7 days, sometimes longer, Molino told council.
“Last week, the lab was changed and we’re starting to see somewhere between a 1- to 3-day response,” said Molino. “We now have several days of that turn around under our belt.”
