- A – F, file your claim on Monday.
- G – N, file your claim on Tuesday.
- O – Z, file your claim on Wednesday.
- If you missed your filing day, file your claim on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Renters and mortgage holders are also experiencing change. For renters, all evictions are on hold during this crisis, so if you are not able to pay rent, do not move out of your house. Which is also not to say ignore the problem. Communicate with your landlord and try to work out a payment plan or restructure your rent. The governor suspended evictions through executive order which can be lifted at any time.
For mortgage holders, foreclosures have been suspended for 90 days. There is no grace period for the restructuring of your mortgage, you will not incur late fees and you will not have negative reports made to credit bureaus during that 90 day period.
NYSEG has joined utility companies across the state in agreeing to suspend utility shut-offs during the crisis. While you should continue to keep current on bills, if you have just been laid off our had your hours reduced, you may qualify for utility subsidies through the HEAP program.
