ITHACA, N.Y. — The Ithaca Concert Band will host a free performance Sunday, Oct. 20.

Founded in 1976, Ithaca Concert Band is a community band with “the intention of providing live, quality musical performances at places accessible to all people of Tompkins County and to offer local musicians a challenging and rewarding musical experience in an encouraging environment.” Over the years, more than 500 people have performed with the band.

The group plays concerts throughout the year and has a couple of events coming up this fall.

The Ithaca Concert Band will perform a Fall Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 in the Kulp Auditorium at Ithaca High School. They also have a Holiday Concert with Ithaca College Brass scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 in Ford Hall at Ithaca College.

All concerts are free and open to the public.
