ITHACA, N.Y. — The Ithaca Police Department is investigating reports of shots fired early Friday morning in the area of West Village.

Police said in a news release that several residents in the West Hill area reported hearing four to five gunshots around 12:16 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30. No injuries were reported.

Police are asking that any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the subjects involved contact the IPD.
