Harmony Falls Chorus is a women’s barbershop chorus based in Trumansburg. We belong to an international organization of women barbershop singers called Harmony Inc. and we are putting on a show on April 6 in Trumansburg with local and imported guest talent.

Our goal is to share the joy of harmony with each other and our community, and to empower women along the way – all while laughing as much as possible. While we like to goof around a little we also work very hard on constantly improving our performance and singing skills. We work with singing and performance coaches from all over the country. In addition to getting ready for our show we are also gearing up for our area contest and convention to be held the first weekend in May in Syracuse.

Come celebrate lifelong harmony with Harmony Falls Chorus as they present Music Through the Ages. There will be performances by young and old including Harmony Falls Chorus, Trumansburg school choruses and jazz band, South Seneca School Vocal Jazz, and special guests Foreign Exchange, an International Champion women’s barbershop quartet.

Music is something that unites us all, through cultures, ethnicities, and ages. Everyone celebrates with and through music throughout their lives, whether they are creators or listeners. From childhood playground and camp songs through high school proms, college parties, and family weddings and anniversaries music plays a critical part in our lives. Imagine your favorite movie without a musical soundtrack…. Recent medical and psychological studies have shown how beneficial music is to our general health and all you have to do sing along with your favorite artist to feel better on a cloudy day (which are abundant here in the Ithaca area!).

The concert will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Charles O. Dickerson High School, Trumansburg, N.Y. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and admission for children 10 and under is free.
