ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca firefighters had to cut the roof off of a car to get a woman out of her vehicle after a crash at State and Meadow streets Thursday.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. When emergency responders from the Ithaca Fire Department, Ithaca Police Department and Bangs Ambulance arrived, they found a pickup truck on its side with the driver still trapped inside. Firefighters cut the roof off of the vehicle to safely extricate the woman inside.

She was taken by Bangs Ambulance to a regional trauma center for her injuries, the Ithaca Fire Department said. No other occupants were injured.
