Donald Russell Feint, age 85, of Gee Hill Road, Dryden, New York, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on the family farm where he was raised and where he raised his family, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Don was graduated from Dryden Central School and in 1954 he was married to the former Helen Anderson. She died in 2000. After a few small jobs, he began working at International Salt Company in Lansing. When the salt mine closed, he found work with the Johnson Museum curator at Cornell University. He was instrumental in transitioning that museum into the one we currently know. He retired in 1994. Don was a “Jack of all trades” and excelled at anything he put his mind to. He restored the historic barn on his property and after many years, at the age of 80, he again was instrumental in saving the original 4 square barn.

Never perfect but close to it, Don is survived by his children, Wayne (Judy) Feint, Audrey (John Cannon) Feint, Cindy (Bill) Rich; daughter in law, Noelle Feint; grandchildren, Nadeen, Lyza, Rachel, Baylie, Brennen, Rocco, Celina and Tesla; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorna Burns; nephews, Mike and Dan Hill. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Stephen; sister, Janice (Francis) Trigo; brother in law, Donald Burns and nephew, Larry Hill.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Friends may call from 4-6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc. of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
