ITHACA, N.Y. — Residents of a house on East Seneca Street woke to find some of their belongings moved early Friday and allegedly discovered 29-year-old Ronald McClure Jr. in one of their rooms, police said. The residents were able to lock McClure in a room until police arrived.

At about 3:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, the Ithaca Police Department responded to a report on the 400 block of East Seneca Street that an unknown person was located in a residence. When officers arrived, residents told them they had woken up to find some of their belongings had been moved. Police said one of the residents located McClure in their room and the group was able to lock him in the room until police arrived. McClure had several pieces of property concealed under his clothes, police said.

McClure was charged with second-degree burglary and is awaiting arraignment in Ithaca City Court.
