ITHACA N.Y. — A Syracuse man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl in Tompkins County Court.
Sethik Howe, 20, of Syracuse, pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly forcing a 16-year-old girl to repeatedly have oral sex with him between the months of Dec. 2016 and Mar. 2017. At the time, Howe was 19 years old.
Howe is being recommended to six months in jail, plus 10 years of probation, according to court records. He will also have to register as a sex offender. An order of protection remains in effect. The court is committing to a no greater sentence than what was recommended, records state.
Howe’s case has been adjourned until 1:15 p.m. Oct. 31.
