BROOKTONDALE, N.Y. — Local residents can meet the Libertarian gubernatorial candidate, Larry Sharpe, at a free event Thursday.

Businessman, mentor and consultant are some of the roles Sharpe has had, according to his campaign website. He and his lieutenant governor running mate Andrew Hollister have been traveling around the state for meet and greets to “get the word out about their Cuomo-busting grass roots campaign.”

Sharpe has an upcoming free event from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Brookton’s Market, 491 Brooktondale Rd.

The event listing says to ask Sharpe about “repealing the SAFE Act, innovative education options, eliminating the state income tax, facilitating innovative non-taxpayer funding, eliminating tolls, localizing more government decisions, transparent government, relieving over-regulated farmers, saving Main Street, criminal justice reform, family court reform, supporting newer industries like vaping, and stopping the population exodus from NY. Learn about Larry Sharpe’s plans to change the culture of NY governance from one of bribery and punishment to one of innovation and choices.”
