ITHACA, N.Y. — Two 17 year olds were taken into custody after police say they robbed a home with a “stun gun device” Thursday afternoon in Collegetown.
Officers were called around 2:10 p.m. to a home the 500 block of Stewart Avenue after two people reported being robbed. Both people described the teens who attacked them and, a short while later, two suspects were found nearby. The teens were positively identified by the residents and taken into custody, the Ithaca Police Department said in a news release.
The two people who were robbed has minor injuries and told police that the teens used “some sort of stun gun device to facilitate their escape.”
The teens were charged with second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, both felonies. IPD does not release the names of underage people they arrest.
After arraignment at Ithaca City Court, Judge Richard Wallace remanded both teens to jail on $10,000 cash bail and $20,000 bond. Other charges against the teens are pending.
