ITHACA, N.Y. — An Ithaca man has been charged with felony strangulation after police say a verbal dispute turned physical.
Randolph J. Black, 43, of Ithaca, was charged with second-degree strangulation after New York State Police at Ithaca responded to a reported domestic dispute at about 9:53 p.m. Monday at an apartment on Cypress Court.
Police say a verbal dispute turned physical and said Black applied enough pressure on a woman’s throat for her to become dazed and unable to breathe.
Black was arraigned in the Town of Ithaca and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. Black is due to return to court Thursday.
