GROTON, N.Y. — A Groton man has been charged with strangulation and assault after police say he injured a person during a domestic dispute.
At about 2:57 a.m. Tuesday, New York State Police arrested 34-year-old David M. Rath, of Groton, after responding to a domestic dispute in the Town of Groton. Police say he struck a person’s head against furniture during the incident. Rath has been charged with second-degree strangulation, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Rath was arraigned in the Town of Groton Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
