NEWFIELD, N.Y. — Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer and two vehicles Thursday in Newfield.
One person was injured and transported for medical attention by helicopter.
As of 2:14 p.m., the road had reopened, according to the Tompkins County Dispatch Center.
The crash occurred around noon Thursday on Route 13 near Ithaca Recreation Sports and Charlie’s Towing. For a couple hours Thursday, the road was closed.

On the scene at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Britten Snyder, 29, said he was on his way to pick up parts before work when he was rear ended and pushed into an oncoming semi truck. Snyder said he was not seriously injured.
New York State Police at Ithaca are investigating the accident that involved a tractor trailer and two vehicles. Police said one woman was transported by helicopter for “non life-threatening injuries” to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.
The tractor trailer involved spilled 100 gallons of fuel, police said.
Newfield Fire Rescue, New York State Police, the Department of Transportation and DEC responded to the scene.
