ITHACA, N.Y. — Meet the candidates running for the Ithaca City School District Board of Education this week at a candidates forum.

There are six candidates running for three open seats, including Lori Labonte, Nicole LaFave, Moira Lang, David Shapiro, Ann Reichlin and Gregory S. Goodrich.

The program will consist of a moderated question and answer session, including the candidates answering prepared questions and questions submitted by the audience.

The forum will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at GIAC and there will be childcare available for children 3 years or older.

The event is co-sponsored by The Village at Ithaca, Greater Ithaca Activities Center, A.C.T.I.O.N., Community Leaders of Color, Equity Inclusion Leadership Council, Ithaca Public Education Initiative, Ithaca Youth Bureau, Latino/a Civic Association, Multicultural Resource Center, Southside Community Center and Tompkins County Progressives.

The board of education and budget public vote will take place from noon to 9 p.m. May 15.
