TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — The official village election results for Cayuga Heights, Dryden, Groton and Trumansburg are in.
The polls were open from noon until 9 p.m. March 20.

The races in Dryden is an example that every vote counts. Initially, the race was too close to call until absentee ballots were counted. In the end, Democratic candidate Michael Murphy pulled ahead by seven votes. The race for village trustee was also decided by a matter of votes.
The Lansing Village Election will take place April 24.
