ITHACA, N.Y. — Police are looking for a man they say publicly sexually assaulted a woman in Collegetown Sunday night.

Officers from the Ithaca Police Department and Cornell University were called to the 200 block of Linden Avenue, between Bool Street and Dryden Road, around 10: 15 p.m.

According to a news release, a woman was thrown to the ground by a man and sexually assaulted. She was able to fight off her attacker, run from the scene and call for help.

She described her attacker as a white male 20- 3o years old, with average build and brown hair. She said he was wearing a black coat.
